A Kelowna Engagement at Knox Mountain.
I went out for this Kelowna engagement session with these two beautiful people a while back. I know, I am slow to blog. So feel free to head over to my instagram where I try to post my updates daily.
It was a smokey day due to the recent BC wildfires. Knox Mountain has been closed to vehicles due to fire risks, as I am sure many of you know if you’re local. So we stayed at the bottom park where there are more than enough backdrops to get some beautiful shots. Sorry if we got in the way disc golfers. We tried to stay clear. The floods had also devastated the shores of the Okanagan this year. There were actually these unsightly orange flood barriers running all along the beaches. You would be able to see it one of the images below if I had the camera moved slightly to the right. I was even sitting on them for some of these shots.
Despite all of these obstacles though, I love how the images turned out. I usually do best with a few curveballs thrown at me, making me think on the fly. It really brings out the creativity. Thats why I always love new locations to shoot!
I always like to schedule my Kelowna engagement shoots shortly before sunset. When we got there I noticed that the smokiness in the sky actually added to the beauty. It prolonged the colours and diffused the light, which is always ideal. The end result is the soft, dreamy sunset that you can see in the pictures.
I had such a great time with these two! Lots of laughs and just such genuine people! Like the rest of us, they were saying that they are not photogenic, only they look like models! I swear that they are not. They were just rocking this engagement session! I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!
